NATIONAL SURVIVAL SWIMMING AWARD (NASSA)
Test Duration 1 hour
Objectives
• Enhance water confidence of swimmers
• Learn about water safety and water survival so that swimmers can
save themselves and prevent accidents in water
Attire while undergoing Test
• Male - Long pants, long-sleeve shirt or T-shirt (additional life
jacket for Gold Star)
• Female - Dress or slacks, long-sleeved blouse or shirt or T-shirt
(additional life jacket for Gold Star)
• Children below 12 years old may use short-sleeve shirt
Test Venue
• All NASSA approved swimming complexes
• Test for Gold Star award will only be conducted at Toa Payoh and
Queenstown pools
Register for Test
• Apply at SSC Swimming Complexes or through respective Swimming /
NASSA programme coach
