Serangoon Swimming Complex opened its doors to the public on 1st March 1995. It is located in Yio Chu Kang road and the nearest MRT station is Serangoon. However, it takes approximately 20 minutes by foot and therefore, taking a bus would be ideal. It is a relatively quiet and small complex compared to other swimming complexes. There are only 2 pools available here, a wading pool and a competition pool. As there is no teaching pool available, lessons are normally conducted in the competition pool, even for beginners. However, beginners will definitely start at the shallow end of the 50m Olympic size pool to get accustomed to the water.

Like we mentioned above, Serangoon Swimming Complex is relatively quiet and small. There are not many lessons conducted for children here as some parents are worried because there is no teaching pool. They would prefer to travel further where there is actually a teaching pool in the complex. Hence, there are quite a number of adults here on the weekends to take advantage of this. If you don’t mind sharing the pool with some adults having their lessons and a few others swimming on their own, then you’re good to go on the weekends.
