Bukit Batok Swimming Complex opened its doors to the public on 4th Apr 1988. It is located just 2 bus stops away from the Bukit Batok MRT station. Like most swimming complexes, Bukit Batok Swimming Complex also has 3 different pools. They include a wading pool, a teaching pool and a competition pool. Lessons for beginners are normally conducted at the teaching pool. Only when the instructor feels that the student is performing up to mark, will they then proceed to the competition pool. The competition pool refers to the normal 50m Olympic size pool used in competitions.
For parents who are waiting for their child’s lesson to end, you might want to consider visiting West Mall. There’s a Eng Wah cinema, bookstore, f00d court and many other cafes such as Coffee Bean. For more information, you can check out their full store directory here. Apart from that, there is also a Gong Cha located just outside the MRT station for the bubble tea lovers.
Many ongoing lessons for children are conducted weekly, especially over the weekends. This is also the reason why it is not advisable to head over on either Saturdays or Sundays. Instead, try going on the weekdays when there isn’t so much of a crowd. It will allow you to swim freely without much obstructions. However, if you do intend to visit the pool on a Wednesday, do remember to schedule your swimming session from 2.30pm onward as it is closed in the morning.
