Clementi Swimming Complex opened its doors to the public on 15th Aug 1983. It is located just beside the Clementi Sports Complex and opposite the Clementi stadium. It is not within sight from the Clementi MRT station, but within walkaway distance. However, there are some who prefer taking the bus instead. Although the complex may seem rather old on the outside, it isn’t short of the 3 essential pools, a wading pool, a teaching pool and a competition pool. Lessons for beginners are normally taught at the teaching pool and the more advanced students will practice at the competition pool, where it is a 50m Olympic size pool.

For parents who are waiting for their child’s lesson to end, you might want to consider visiting the Clementi Mall. It is a rather recent establishment with quite a number of shops. You can find a NTUC Fairprice Finest supermarket and even a BHG departmental store. Let’s not forget the public library where you can check out the latest books. The mall has it fair share of fashion shops such as Cotton On, Giordano, Samuel & Kevin and many more. If you’re feeling hungry, there’s a food court, fast food restaurants and a few other restaurants. For the full store listing, you can check it out here.

Although Clementi Swimming Complex is relatively old compared to other pools, many still make their way there over the weekends, especially those that live nearby. It may not be as crowded as some of the other swimming complexes in Singapore, but it would definitely be more advisable to visit the pool on a weekday instead. The only thing that you should be aware of is that if you would like to schedule your swimming session on a Monday, remember to schedule it no earlier than 2.30pm.
