In just a week’s time, Delta Swimming Complex will be temporarily closed for renovation works! According to the Delta Swimming Complex Facebook page, the closure will occur from 11th November 2013 until 12th February 2014. For those regular swimmers or residents living near Delta Swimming Complex, fret not! There are still other alternative public pools that you may wish to consider visiting during this period. For now, we will suggest Buona Vista Swimming Complex or Queenstown Swimming Complex as they are nearest to Delta Swimming Complex.
Delta Swimming Complex has been one of the most convenient swimming complexes in Singapore due to its short walking distance from Redhill MRT. Other swimming complexes that are conveniently located within walking distance from the MRT include Yio Chu Kang Swimming Complex, Bishan Swimming Complex and Clementi Swimming Complex.
Most of us might not be aware that Delta Swimming Complex has been one of the oldest swimming pools in Singapore that was built back in the 70s. Since 7th November 1979, their doors have been opened to the public, as stated on the Singapore Sports Council website. Delta Swimming Complex is not the only one built in the 70s, there are also several other swimming complexes such as Queenstown Swimming Complex, Toa Payoh Swimming Complex, Katong Swimming Complex,Buona Vista Swimming Complex and Geylang East Swimming Complex that were built during that era.
Happy Fish Swim School will definitely miss Delta Swimming Complex during this temporary closure. However, we will be looking forward to the reopening of Delta Swimming Complex in mid Feb next year! We are excited and can’t wait for their new look!
