What it means when a coach is listed
Coaches here are independent freelancers, not employees of this site. They set their own prices and hours. The site sets the rules every booking follows, and a coach who stops meeting them disappears from search automatically.
Certificates on file
A swim instructor certificate, a lifesaving certificate and a CPR certificate, uploaded by the coach and in date. When one expires, the coach is hidden until it is renewed.
Reviews from real bookings
Only families who booked and paid through the site can leave a review. A coach whose average falls below 4 stars after 5 or more reviews is no longer listed.
Paid only for lessons that happen
Coaches are paid per lesson, after it is recorded and you confirm it, or 24 hours pass. Declined bookings and missed lessons are refunded to you automatically.
Current availability
Coaches must confirm their weekly hours at least once a month, so the slots you see are slots they intend to teach.
Nobody here inspects certificates or watches lessons. Browse coaches or read who runs this site.
How prices work
There is no fixed price list. Each coach sets their own price per 45-minute lesson for 1, 2, 3 or 4 learners, and you see it on their profile before you pay.
Set by the coach
Coaches price their own lessons, usually by experience and how far they travel. As a guide, most private condo lessons in Singapore are priced between about $50 and $100 per 45 minutes for one learner. When 2 to 4 learners share, the coach's group price is split between them.
What you pay
Exactly the coach's listed price multiplied by the number of lessons. No booking fee, no travel fee from the site, no card surcharge. PayNow or card at checkout.
Trial or package
Book one trial lesson first, or a package of 4 or 8 lessons in one weekly slot with the same coach. Packages cost the per-lesson price times the lessons, with no discount and no markup.
Areas
Each coach sets a travel range from home, and you see the coaches whose range covers your postal code. These regions have the most condominium pools.

Can a swim coach really teach at my condo pool?
Yes. Most condominiums in Singapore allow residents to bring a visiting coach, either as a registered guest or under the MCST's external-instructor rule. The coach signs in at the guardhouse like any visitor. What to ask your management first.

What age can my child start?
Condo pool lessons suit most children from 3, when a child can follow simple instructions and cope with 45 minutes in unheated water. For babies and toddlers under 3 we recommend an indoor heated pool first. Read why on our babies page.
What happens if it rains?
Lessons stop for lightning and heavy rain. The coach marks the lesson rained off, nothing is deducted, and a make-up lesson is added to the end of your package automatically. You get an email straight away.
What if the coach does not turn up?
If a coach has not checked in at your pool within three hours of the start and has not called off the lesson for rain, the lesson is refunded to you automatically and the coach gets a strike. Two missed lessons in 60 days and the coach is suspended from the site.
