The big estates of the East
The Tampines and Pasir Ris condos are big. Treasure at Tampines, The Tapestry, The Alps Residences and Q Bay Residences each house hundreds of families and have several pools spread across the estate. At Pasir Ris the seafront developments, Ripple Bay, Sea Horizon, Coco Palms and Livia among them, sit near the park and the coast. Around Bedok and Tanah Merah there are Bedok Residences above the mall, Aquarius by the Park on the reservoir, and The Glades and Urban Vista near Tanah Merah MRT.
With a large estate, the most useful thing you can do is give the pool and block in the pool notes; a coach who parks at the wrong end of Treasure at Tampines can lose ten minutes of your lesson walking.
Coaches and slots in the East
Coaches living anywhere between Bedok and Pasir Ris, and many in Hougang and Punggol, have this region inside a typical travel range. Search with your postal code to see who is listed and free. Weekend mornings are busier, as they are everywhere, and Sunday afternoons are often the quietest time at a Tampines pool. Adults in Tampines and Bedok tend to like 8 pm slots after dinner, when the pools are usually empty.
Pool notes for the big estates
The scale of these developments works in a learner's favour. There is nearly always a children's pool or a shallow end with wide steps for the first lessons, and a 50-metre lap pool for later. Newer estates have shade sails over part of the deck; the reservoir and seafront pools at Bedok and Pasir Ris can be breezy in the evening, so young children do better with a daytime slot from November to January.
These MCSTs manage so many residents that they almost always have a written rule on private instructors: typically the resident registers the coach once at the management office, the coach signs in at the guardhouse, and a few estates charge a per-visit guest fee paid to the MCST. Babies and toddlers under 3 in Tampines, Pasir Ris and Bedok
For a baby or toddler under 3, Happy Fish Swim School, our sister swim school, has two branches close by: Downtown East at Pasir Ris, and Bedok. Both run parent-and-baby classes in warm water with instructors who specialise in infants. That is the right first pool; an unheated condo pool by the reservoir in December is not.

How prices work in Tampines, Pasir Ris and Bedok
The site adds no area surcharge. Each coach sets their own price per 45-minute lesson, with any travel cost built in, and you see it before you pay.
Set by the coach
Coaches price their own lessons, usually by experience and how far they travel. As a guide, most private condo lessons in Singapore are priced between about $50 and $100 per 45 minutes for one learner. When 2 to 4 learners share, the coach's group price is split between them.
What you pay
Exactly the coach's listed price multiplied by the number of lessons. No booking fee, no travel fee from the site, no card surcharge. PayNow or card at checkout.
Trial or package
Book one trial lesson first, or a package of 4 or 8 lessons in one weekly slot with the same coach. Packages cost the per-lesson price times the lessons, with no discount and no markup.
Tampines, Pasir Ris and Bedok questions
Our condo has three pools. Does it matter which we use?
For the first few lessons, the shallowest one with steps, so a beginner can stand and rest; after that the lap pool for lengths and treading water. Put the pool name and nearest block in the pool notes when you book.
Do coaches cover Tanah Merah, Bedok Reservoir and Kembangan?
When their travel range reaches you, yes, and all three sit well inside the range of coaches living in the East. If your address is closer to Marine Parade or Siglap, the East Coast and Katong page describes those pools, though booking uses your postal code either way.
Can I book a female coach for my daughter in Tampines?
